J. Martin Brown, Ph.D.
Professor Martin Brown is a Professor in the Division of Radiation and Cancer Biology at Stanford University. A founder scientist of Proacta, he has received a number of honors and awards in the field of oncology including the prestigious Bruce Cain award from the American Association for Cancer Research, the Gold Medal from the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the Weiss Medal from the Association for Radiation Research, and most recently the Henry S. Kaplan Distinguished Scientist Award. He serves on the editorial boards of several scientific publications including Anticancer Research, Radiotherapy and Oncology, Cancer Letters, Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, Cancer Biology and Therapy and is the Senior Editor for Biology for the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology and Physics . Professor Brown is named as an inventor on 10 patents and is author/co-author of more than 250 scientific papers, and several books and conference proceedings.

Professor William Denny
Director of the Auckland Cancer Society Research Centre (ACSRC); Professor in the Department of Chemistry, The University of Auckland. A founder scientist of Proacta, Professor Denny is author and co-author of more than 500 scientific papers and named as an inventor on 70 patents or patent applications. He has an international reputation for his research in anti-cancer therapeutics (there are currently four drugs in clinical trials that he is involved with), especially with regard to prodrugs for cancer treatments. He is an Associate Editor of Current Medicinal Chemistry: Anti-Cancer Drugs, and on the Editorial Boards of Oncology Research, Molecular Cancer Therapeutics and Expert Opinion on Investigational Drugs.

Amato Giaccia, Ph.D.
Professor Amato Giaccia is a Professor and Director of the Division of Radiation and Cancer Biology at Stanford University,Department of Radiation Oncology, Stanford University. A founder scientist of Proacta, Professor Giaccia has received a number of awards for his studies on how hypoxia affects the malignant progression of tumor cells. He serves on a number of committees (American Association for Cancer Research, American Society for Therapeutic Radiation Oncology, Radiation Research Society) as well as on editorial boards (Molecular Cancer Research, Cancer Biology and Therapy, Cancer Research ). He is the inventor of five patents and has authored more than 100 scientific papers.

Professor Bill Wilson
Professor at The University of Auckland, Principal Research Fellow of the Health Research Council of New Zealand, and a Group Leader in the ACSRC. A founder scientist of Proacta, Professor Wilson is author or co-author of over 160 scientific papers. He has extensive experience in biological and biochemical aspects of prodrug development, particularly in relation to bioreductive drugs. Professor Wilson originated the multicellular layer model for quantifying extravascular drug transport and bystander effects, and the use of ionizing radiation to activate prodrugs in hypoxic regions of tumors.
