Technology Pipeline

PR104, is a small molecule prodrug designed to target tumor hypoxia. In preclinical studies, PR104 has shown activity used alone or in combination with radiation, chemotherapy and biologic therapies. We are currently evaluating PR104 in a Phase I/II trial in patients with relapsed or recurrent Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Proacta is also developing a second class of compounds known as Hypoxia-Selective Multi-Kinase Inhibitors (HSMKIs). Our first lead in this class was selected in 2009, and IND approval is anticipated in late 2011. Initial data suggest that this class of compounds may offer substantial improvements over existing multi-kinase inhibitors.
